Hello! We haven't had the accessibility to the internet until today! What a fabulous 2 days we have had!

Tuesday 10-16-07
We spent the morning contacting agents, etc...doing business. We got off a little later from Munich. Thank goodness....the weather was absolutely perfect.......sun shining at 70 degrees! We spent the day driving from Munich to Oberammergau to Garmisch to Mittenwald and back to Garmisch. This has got to be one of my favorite drives. You have the mountains, the cows (we love the cows, they make the best butter und kÄse here), the green lush meadows, the villages, church steeples.......we ahhhhhed the whole day. Kids remember the drive? It was on the way to Linderhof schloss & neuschwanstein. Last time we were so rushed in Oberammergau. This time we Carla & I enjoyed the shops, especially the wood carvings. They also had a Christmas shop on a smaller of version like Rothenberg.

Kids, remember the beautiful paintings on the buildings in Mittenwald? The mountains around Mittenwald are spectacular. Carla felt really at home in these mountains (a girl from SLC!). We ate in the same restaurant as we did with you kids...This time though, Carla & I weren't yet sick of wienerschnitzel. Something new in Germany from just two years ago...a lot more lettuce salads vs vinegar salads........thank you, thank you!

We had kind of time finding a hotel in Garmisch. We later found that our GPS was going bezerk because we had entered the wrong town. To our luck, we didn't find the hotel and end up staying in a pension on the road. It was an amazing place. We were on the third floor, a suite, kitchen, eating area, couch, beds with windows all around with fabulous views of the mountains! Thank goodness for the mistake which ended up being a blessing.
